FAQs
What are your lead times?
Our lead times are currently 7 business days to cut and ship your chair mat.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping on all of our chair mats.
Do your chair mats vent or emit odors?
Our supplier's core line of clear chair mats has achieved GREENGUARD Gold Certification for low chemical emissions, making them a healthier option for home and workplace use. For further questions, please email us at sales@justchairmats.com.
What material do I need for my chair mat?
Choosing the right material depends on your flooring type:
- Home carpet (deep pile with thick pad): Select our thickest Executive material.
- Office carpet (low pile with thin or no pad): Our Premium material is recommended.
- Hard floors: Choose our clear or black non-studded material.
- Note: We do not guarantee that our mats will prevent dimpling (divots from chair wheels) or scratching on hardwood floors, as our mats are designed to be flexible for longer lifespans.
What pattern should I choose for my chair mat?
Selecting a pattern can be complex and depends on your desk setup. We recommend consulting a handyman for in-person advice. Alternatively, you can submit a photo of your setup via our "Upload a Drawing" page (linked at the top of our website). Our warehouse team will review your submission and provide recommendations via email within 3-5 business days.
What sheet size should I select?
Ensure the sheet size accommodates all your measurements. Add up the measurements along the top and sides of your mat to determine the appropriate size. If you need assistance, submit a drawing on our "Upload a Drawing" page (linked at the top of our website), and our warehouse team will respond with recommendations via email within 3-5 business days.
What is a beveled edge, and why should I get one?
A beveled edge is a slight ramp added to the sides of the mat, reducing the risk of tripping and making it easier to roll on and off the mat. It’s highly recommended for safety and convenience.
What is venting, and do I need it?
Venting, or our Moisture Control Feature, includes holes every 2 inches to allow moisture to escape, preventing mold or mildew buildup. This is ideal for:
- Basements or high-humidity environments.
- Areas where concrete wasn’t properly sealed.
- Spaces where moisture has previously accumulated under a chair mat. These vents are handcrafted in our state-of-the-art facility and are perfect for humid conditions.
What is a Link Mat?
A Link Mat consists of two chair mats that fit together like puzzle pieces. We developed this solution to create wider mats that our machines couldn’t produce in a single piece, ensuring we meet your size requirements.
Do you ship mats flat or rolled?
To maintain competitive pricing, we ship our mats rolled. However, we can ship them flat if you order 10 or more mats.
Are your chair mats flexible? Do they bend?
Yes, our mats are designed to be flexible to ensure a longer lifespan. However, we do not guarantee that they will prevent dimpling (divots from chair wheels).
Do your chair mats crack or break?
Under normal usage, our mats should not crack, chip, break, or shatter. If a Premium or Executive mat breaks or cracks under normal conditions, we will replace it once upon proof of purchase. Please note that our warranty may be void under certain circumstances. For details, visit the "Lifetime Warranty" link at the top of our homepage.
