Why a custom chair mat

Off-the-shelf mats often leave gaps under the desk or stick out past the chair path. A custom vinyl chair mat is cut to the shape of your workstation, so the coverage matches how you actually roll. That cleaner fit helps in open offices, private rooms, and home desks that do not match a standard rectangle.

Custom also lets you match floor type first, then desk pattern, then sheet size. You are not stuck guessing with one generic thickness for every room.

How to choose material

Start with the floor under the chair. For carpet, measure pile plus pad: straighten a paper clip, push it down to the hard floor, mark the top of the carpet with your fingers, and measure that depth.

  • Premium (.200" vinyl). Our go-to for offices and carpet tile. It also works well at home when pile and pad are not very deep.
  • Executive (.250" vinyl). Our thickest vinyl, suited to thicker carpet and deeper padding.
  • Economy (.130" vinyl). An affordable, entry-level option for very thin carpet with little or no pad.
  • Hard floor vinyl. Non-studded clear or black mats for wood, tile, concrete, and similar hard surfaces.

Carpet lines use AnchorBar studs. They install more comfortably than sharp spike cleats and help with stability on carpet. Premium and Executive mats include a lifetime replacement when a covered failure occurs. Economy is priced as an affordable entry-level line without the same warranty focus.

What happens next

Use the material grid above to open the line that fits your floor. Next you pick a desk pattern (rectangle, single or double lip, side extension, and similar shapes). After that you choose a sheet size large enough for the area where the chair rolls.
